Real Texas Smoke, No Shortcuts

Tucked along US Hwy 87 East in China Grove, Texas D Willie's Smokehouse has built a reputation the old-fashioned way: hours of oak smoke, a heavy hand with the rub, and pits that don't stop working from open to close. Guests keep coming back for the all-you-can-eat spread, where you pick three meats and three sides and the servings keep coming until you say when.

Inside, the corrugated tin roof, string lights and reclaimed wood tables set a laid-back, honest-to-goodness Texas roadhouse feel. One recent guest summed it up after trying brisket, ribs, both sausages and smoked turkey in one sitting: "the brisket was falling apart, the ribs were perfectly seasoned and delicious, and my wife loved the turkey." That's the standard we cook to every single day.

We're proud to be a family-run stop for folks driving through San Antonio's east side, and for regulars who show up every week for the smoked meats, the scratch-made sides, and a country breakfast that'll keep you full until supper.
